Project Coordinator & Community Connector
The vision for Creatively United for the Planet and This Is Leadership grew out of the long-held desire of founder Frances Litman, an international award-winning photographer, writer and 2012 CRD EcoStar Community Leadership Award winner, to create support for those doing the “hero work” in our community.
Recognizing that leadership begins with the inspired actions that people take to improve their community, Creatively United and This Is Leadership unites and empowers individuals, groups and communities by showcasing and celebrating positive leadership.
Kelsey first started volunteering at Creatively United as a server for the 2016 festival dinner. With a brief background studying holistic nutrition, she was glad to see the community come together to share, learn, and appreciate the value of local, organic food; thus, she was inspired to join the team.
She is currently studying Humanities at the University of Victoria with the ultimate goal of becoming a journalist. Kelsey believes strongly in the social solidarity that comes with community involvement as everyone has unique perspectives, gifts, and skills to offer.
