Come and join us for a Great Canadian Shoreline Cleanup along the beautiful coastline of our Provincial Juan de Fuca Trail. Let’s spend the day together enjoying the beautiful JDF trail while cleaning up the coastline. We will be joined by BC Parks Ranger Staff – Owen Catherall and Elyse Matthews to help us with our cleanup efforts.
Date: Friday September 15th
Time: 10:30am – 3:30pm
Location: Juan de Fuca Park (Bear Beach)
Meeting place: 9:30am China Beach Parking lot
We’ll meet at the China Beach Parking Lot at 9:30am, leaving the parking lot at 9:45am sharp to shuttle to the Bear Beach trailhead. It is approximately 1.5km to Bear Beach where we will begin our cleanup. We can separate out into groups to cover as much coastline as possible. We will come together for lunch and get to listen to some live music on the beach while re-energizing for more cleanup time. We will be leaving Bear Beach around 2:30pm so folks can get back into Victoria around 5:30pm.
