The 43rd Annual Dickens Fair will take place on December 7, 2024, at the James Bay Community Centre, 140 Oswego Street, Victoria, BC. Admission is $3. Under 12 free admissions.
The Fair features over 60 juried craft and food vendors, all of whom make, bake or grow their products on Vancouver Island.
Included in the lineup of food sellers are many bakers including baking for customers with gluten and other allergies, chocolates, jams, jellies, pickles, the list goes on. Don’t forget to take home some tamales or perogies all made fresh and frozen for you to enjoy later. Or try the smoked fish offerings – new to the fair this year.
Our craft section included knitters, doll makers, painted ornament eggs, pottery both decorative and for your table, candles to light and enjoy now and at the holiday, felt works, wooden products, handmade pens, woven scarves and table runners. The list goes on. Jewelry makers at all price levels will be on hand, along with a wide range of soap and body care products. We will have seeds available for spring planting. Don’t forget to stop by Breakwater Stories booth to meet Jean the author, and peruse her newest book just released this year. Or drop by Sheringham Distillery and sample their award-winning alcoholic and nonalcoholic offerings.
Take a break and visit our cafe which offers light fare, sandwiches and wraps, soups and beverages all at very reasonable prices hosted by the Bent Mast Restaurant.
Admission is $3. under 12 free.
Our door prizes are donated by local businesses and include gift certificates.
