DESCRIPTION:Did you know that drip line irrigation systems can help you save time\, water and improve your plant health?  \nThis workshop will cover the basics of what you need to know in order to design\, build\, maintain and repair a simple above ground drip line irrigation system. Using the system at Welland Orchard as an example\, we will go through design considerations\, required components and annual maintenance. Then we will get some hands-on experience repairing common damage to irrigation systems and learn about what tools and supplies you need to make your own irrigation repair kit. \n Sunday\, May 24\, 10am-12pm

SUMMARY:Creative Eco-Mindfulness Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Unite your love of art and nature during this series of creative mindfulness two-hour workshops! \nThrough expressive arts\, eco-mindfulness practices\, and supportive community\, we will take good care of eco-anxiety/grief and nurture hope in relationship with the earth. \nA little different each time\, the three workshops will feature guided deep relaxation\, gentle movement\, journaling\, collaging\, and singing. \nNo prior experience or training in any art forms is required. Following the workshop\, participants will have the option to spend an additional hour on a self-guided nature walk around the gardens. \nThis workshop is facilitated by Anna Bigland-Pritchard\, a local soprano\, songwriter\, voice teacher\, Expressive Arts Therapy student\, and lover of the earth. Anna is also 1/2 of opera+ ensemble\, Gay4Nature Collective along with Alex Chen\, and co-directs the Queer&Trans Choir Project with Em Postl.
