SUMMARY:Outer Worlds Imax Film Screening
DESCRIPTION:Outer Worlds is a series of five short experimental films curated by Janine Marchessault. The Victoria screening will be followed by a Q and A with the curator\, Janine Machessault and our host\, Chris Chong Chan Fui along with Outer World artists\, Kelly Richardson and Leila Sujir. \nOuter Worlds presents five remarkable IMAX films by: \nLeila Sujir\nLisa Jackson\nOliver Husain\nMichael Snow\nKelly Richardson \nEach film explores expanded cinema through encounters with the non-human world: forests\, lichen\, water\, sky\, and other ecological systems. Together they offer an immersive cinematic experience that reflects on our relationship with the planet and the urgent environmental questions of our time. \nOuter Worlds includes two films that were shot in the forests of Pacheedaht Territory.
