SUMMARY:Pro-D Day Wildflower Walk
DESCRIPTION:Are you looking for something to do outside on the upcoming SD68 pro-d days? Look no further and come to Wildwood for a self-guided wildflower walk! \nOn both April 24th and April 27th\, we are offering self-guided wildflower walks from 12:00-4:00! \nExplore our trails with your family while you peruse our wildflower stops where you can learn each flower’s names\, ecological importance\, Indigenous uses\, and see them up close in person! Set aside about an hour and a half to walk the full loop and don’t forget to bring plenty of snacks and water. \nNote that dogs are not allowed on site and there are steep trails\, so please dress appropriately! Please contact us about any accessibility needs or questions at education@ecoforestry.ca. \nArrival and Amenities: \nAlthough we are running the event until 4:00\, please arrive at 3:00 at the latest to ensure you have enough time to non-hurriedly complete the walk. \nThere are 2 outhouses\, one being accessible to wheelchairs. There is no running water onsite. You will be outdoors for the entire duration\, and will be walking on forest trails. There’s a small downhill slope in the forest and a bigger slope up the gravel path. \nWhat to bring: \n\n\nSturdy footwear \n\n\nClothing layers (Keep in mind it is always few degrees cooler in the forest) \n\n\nWater and snacks (no running water on site) \n\n\nA phone or camera will come handy \n\n\nReading glasses if you need them \n\n\nAddress: 2929 Crane Rd\, Ladysmith \nWe look forward to receiving any questions at education@ecoforestry.ca and to welcoming you to Wildwood for this amazing mushroom walk!
