The notion of ‘Elbows Up’ has been gaining steam as folks stand up to Trump and growing fascism. The Prince Rupert Gas Transmission Pipeline is part of this trend. Come out on Saturday to say Elbows Up against PRGT.
There is an Elbows Up rally happening in Victoria this Saturday, April 5th at 11-1 on the lawn of the BC Legislature.
We’re going to show up to say that to stand up to Trump means standing up to the US owned and bankrolled PRGT pipeline! We’ll have signs, and distributable materials to get folks to take action on PRGT.
We’ll meet at 10:45 at the Knowledge Totem Pole, more details here.
The rally is being framed as a non-partisan, ‘celebratory’ event that is open to all (more info here). The organizers have welcomed us to share information on PRGT.
Always, but especially given the framing of this type of event, it is important to say that the resistance to this project is being led on the frontlines by the Gitxsan and Gitanyow Nisga’a Nations, their youth, allied community groups, and more. Bringing the critical issue of the PRGT Pipeline to this type of rally is to act in solidarity with the resistance efforts led by those voices.
