Speaker: Devin Todd, PhD, Peng

Topic: Carbon Dioxide Removal

Carbon dioxide removal (CDR) — addressing climate change by removing GHGs from the atmosphere. Essential, possible, impossible, a panacea, or a distraction? We will converse to position CDR in context of broader climate action; recognize what makes up effective CDR; and explore how responsible development might unfold.
Devin is a generalist navigating the intersections of R&D, industry, policy, and community. His work emphasizes sustainability, transdisciplinarity, and coproduction. In recent years Devin has focused on Solid Carbon, a carbon dioxide removal (CDR) initiative — originally through the Pacific Institute for Climate Solutions and now at Ocean Networks Canada.
