National and Global Unity/Peace Movement Launch

The International Peace Charter (IPC), a Victoria-based non-profit, will officially launch with a public news conference. Organizers are calling on the Government of Canada to become the first country in the world to ratify its 11-charter Principle for World Unity and Peace, which will be preceded by Saanich/Gulf Islands MP Elizabeth May presenting an e-petition led by the IPC group with more than 1000 signatures to the House of Commons on May 26th.

This public event will include speakers: Miles Craig and PriyankaKrishna KALIHARIOM (IPC founder and executive director); BC Green Party leader Emily Lowan; a video message by MP Elizabeth May; Frances Litman, the founder of Creatively United for the Planet Society (CreativelyUnited.org) and special guests.
