Bound by Nature Eco-Printing Workshop with Nora Ready

On 6 June, the Sooke Region Museum invites you to Bound by Nature, an eco-printing workshop with fibre artist Nora Ready. This workshop is a great opportunity to learn about local plants, create a wonderful souvenir, and appreciate the beauty of spring.

Nora Ready is an experienced art facilitator and active fibre artist with membership in the Vancouver Island Surface Design Association and the Canadian Fibre Arts Network. All supplies are provided, and no experience is necessary. At the workshop, you will create a booklet that reflects the area’s natural beauty. Participants will respectfully forage plants that grow nearby, using them to make prints on watercolour paper using a bundle and steam technique. They will then bind these pages into booklets, decorating and embellishing them with various materials. These booklets will be truly unique, and you’ll have an unforgettable piece of the place and the season to take with you!

Registration costs $75 and is limited to 20 people.
