Westshore Garden Tour
The Westshore Garden Tour returns on Saturday, June 20, 2026, offering a beautiful and inspiring self-guided experience through six unique private gardens across the Westshore community. Presented by Soroptimist International of Victoria Westshore Society, this annual event celebrates gardening, creativity, sustainability, and community connection while raising funds to support programs that empower women and girls throughout Greater Victoria.
Guests are invited to spend the day exploring a carefully curated coLollection of gardens, each showcasing its own distinct personality and design style. From vibrant floral landscapes and lush backyard retreats to native plant sanctuaries and thoughtfully designed outdoor living spaces, the tour highlights the creativity, dedication, and environmental stewardship of local gardeners who generously open their gardens to the public for this special event.
Designed as a relaxed self-guided experience, attendees can explore at their own pace, taking time to wander, gather inspiration, and enjoy the beauty of the season. Whether you are a passionate gardener, a nature enthusiast, or simply looking for a meaningful and enjoyable summer outing, the Westshore Garden Tour offers something for everyone.
A central feature of the event is the Solstice Market at Royal Bay Secondary School, which serves as the community hub for the day. Visitors can stop by before, during, or after touring the gardens to enjoy a welcoming atmosphere featuring local artisans, makers, handcrafted goods, food vendors, and live music. The market provides an opportunity to shop local, connect with community members, and celebrate the creativity and talent of Vancouver Island artisans and small businesses.
Guests may also pick up pre-ordered boxed lunches or purchase snacks and refreshments while relaxing and enjoying the entertainment. The Solstice Market creates a vibrant gathering place where attendees can recharge and make a full day of the experience.
More than just a garden tour, this event directly supports Soroptimist International of Victoria Westshore Society’s community programs and initiatives focused on improving the lives of women and girls. Proceeds help fund education awards, mentorship programs, food security initiatives, senior support programs, and other outreach projects that create meaningful impact locally and globally.
Programs supported through this event include Education Awards for women pursuing further education and training, Dream It Be It career support programs for girls, Stella’s Suppers for seniors, food security initiatives including SIsters Preserves, and community outreach projects that strengthen and support vulnerable members of the community.
The Westshore Garden Tour has become a cherished annual tradition that brings together garden enthusiasts, families, local businesses, volunteers, and community organizations in celebration of beauty, generosity, and shared purpose.
