World Oceans Day 2019 was a great success and we have had very positive feedback, so we will likely have the same layout next year as well. We raised $2,071.35, which puts us at a grand total of $4,783.94 (from 2017-2019) towards the purchase of a Seabin for Fisherman’s Wharf. Stay tuned for more information coming shortly.
A huge thank you to everyone who participated in this year’s event, including the Victoria Conference Centre for their loan of tables and chairs, Ocean 98.5 and Kiss 103.1 for helping us to spread the word and joining us during the event, Barb’s Fish and Chips, Jackson’s Ice Cream, The Fish Store, Pirate Pizza, Puerto Vallarta Amigos and Smoke and Anchor for their financial support, the Greater Victoria Harbour Authority for partnering with us to put on this event, and all our participants!
Next year will be our 8th year celebrating World Oceans Day at Fisherman’s Wharf! This will be happening on Sunday June 14, so please save the date! More info coming soon with some exciting new ideas for next year.
