Forty three years ago now I felt called to take a month off in the summer where I could be alone and write. What happened almost instantly was that I began seeing for the first time visions on paper and as soon as each vision came there was a poem to accompany it. By the end of the summer I had a sequel of three books – Mountain Mover, Soul Journey and Spirit Walker. It was as if my soul knew the journey ahead of time but I had to spend four decades living out what was prophetically given me.
Today I feel called to share my work with others who most probably are on a similar journey as I’ve been on, only different details. The art work is done in coloured pastel and the poems are done in my own calligraphy.
Mountain Mover, speaks about the terrifying journey of a soul who wades through the ugly in search of the beautiful. It is the story of a person, who at the beginning of her life, falls more often than she rises, and not until her journey is nearing completion, does she experience the total delivery she is compelled to talk about. There are no compromises in Mountain Mover ‐ just startling demands!
Through art and poetry, my reflections speak about these absurdities, about being plunged into the dark side of ourselves where we become whole. They say of redemption that it is a new way of becoming and speak not so much about the shame of humanity as the glory shining through it.
Mountain Mover is the revelation of my own story, a revolutionary one of how out of the nothingness of my clay, Spirit formed me for the journey that is mine.
