I was recently gifted a copy of Olga Campbell’s multi-award winning book, A Whisper Across Time, a stunning tribute to her family’s story of the Holocaust told through a sumptuous collection of prose, art and poetry.
Olga is a Vancouver writer and artist whose main motivation for writing this book “was as a cautionary tale about the times that we are living in. Democracies all around the world are very fragile – there is an increase in racism, white supremacy and anti semitism.”
By writing this story, Campbell hopes the reader will stop and reflect on the past to make sure that we preserve our empathy, humanity and democracy.
eighty years ago the world looked
away
We must not look away now
