This lead story has some great assessments which could form the basis of an open letter to Trudeau (under a title, introduction, or close such as “Why I am ashamed to be Canadian”, or “All talk, no action”, “We are now a force for extinction”, “Can the hypocrisy get any worse”, “And they thought we could get a seat on the Security Council!”, “Time we had a truly climate aware government”, or, “Rightfully in the International doghouse”. Lastly, it might be said, “If you really just have to travel, it might be our turn to put U.S. flags on our backpacks”.
Let’s collectively get Canadian citizens, scientists, politically engaged NGOs, church and secular humanist leaders, academics and ethicists to endorse this!
