Advocating for Climate Solutions Through Public Policy: Lunch and Learn
Learn about climate adaptation in BC and the role of public policy in addressing risks that extend beyond individual action.
Join us for a special Lunch & Learn in honour of Earth Day. Policy problems are complex, often contested, issues that demand public policy action rather than just individual solutions. What problems have remained largely hidden and unaddressed in British Columbia policy and planning contexts? Drawing on theme on Earth Day, we will explore questions of individual versus government responsibility through local examples of climate change and adaption such as extreme heat, wildfires, and risk response. The aim is to better understand climate adaption and how to advocate on behalf of policy problems.
This is an in-person and online event.
