Avery Raquel ~ 2026 Slow Motion Tour

Wednesday, October 14 @ 9:30 pm - 11:00 pm
Event Series (See All)
$40.00

Witness the evolution of one of Canada’s most formidable young musical forces. At just 24 years old, Billboard-charting recording artist and multi-instrumentalist Avery Raquel takes the stage for a mesmerizing live experience that redefines the boundaries of modern soul.

The Slow Motion Tour is a brilliant collision of musical eras. Backed by an elite and accomplished band, Avery seamlessly weaves her deep roots in classic jazz with the sultry, atmospheric textures of contemporary R&B and alternative soul. Having recently returned from Europe after earning her master’s degree from Berklee College of Music, Avery brings a fierce, refined musicianship to the stage. Her multi-octave range—praised as “lustrous, precise, and luminously powerful”—commands the room from the very first note, effortlessly shifting from a whisper to a soaring, emotive roar.

This is a night of honest, vulnerable storytelling packaged in infectious hooks, lush live arrangements, and undeniable Canadian talent. The performance is meticulously paced to highlight Avery’s journey from jazz prodigy to contemporary R&B innovator.

With an intimate, late-night jazz club energy feel, Avery demonstrates her multi-instrumental prowess, trading off between the piano and guitar. This show features jazz-tinged, stripped-back arrangements of her earlier discography, alongside smoky, neo-soul-inspired new material.

Throughout the entire concert the energy builds as her full band takes over, diving into the heart of her celebrated self-titled album. Audiences will experience live, driving renditions of fan favorites like “Helpless”, “Please,” “You”, and ‘Nothing More”, alongside the critically acclaimed tracks that swept the John Lennon Songwriting Competition.

The show culminates in a wave of lush, modern, ambient grooves. Showcasing her newest material—including “Hard To Stay”, “The Letter”, and tracks from her Slow Motion EP—Avery leans into atmospheric 80s, rich vocal harmonies, and irresistible, deep R&B pockets that keep the crowd moving.

Avery Raquel has been captivating audiences professionally for over a decade, but this tour marks a profound “rebirth” of her artistry. She possesses a rare, magnetic ability to make a large performing arts center feel like a tight-knit, emotional sanctuary. For anyone who loves the timeless depth of Amy Winehouse, the vocal precision of jazz greats, and the fresh, current edge of modern R&B, this concert is a masterclass in what the future of soul music sounds like.
