Free Open House Dragon Boat Paddling Open To All Ages at Fairway Gorge Paddling Club

PARTICIPATION IS FREE. All are welcome and no experience is needed. Bring your family (6-years-old and up) as well as friends who are interested in trying paddling and we’ll get you out on the water for fun.

We recommend that you wear some comfortable clothing that you would wear for outdoor activity and that you wouldn’t mind getting a few splashes on. We provide all other necessary equipment like paddles and PFDs (life jackets) for your outing. You can expect to be on the water for about 20 minutes while our coaches run you through the basics of dragon boating. During and after your paddle, you will be able to meet our teams and paddlers who will be able to tell you all about their experiences with the sport.

For people brand new to paddling, this is a great opportunity to try it out before registering for one of the season’s “Greenhorn Dragon Boat” programs, which train on weekends and “graduate” at one of FGPC’s dragon boat races.
