Greater Victoria Climate Forum

You are invited to join a welcoming space where climate-focused organizations and individuals across Greater Victoria can gather, share, and collaborate. Whether you’re part of an established organization or simply driven by climate action, join us to build meaningful connections and strengthen our collective impact.

What We’ll Create Together (Outcomes)

  • A shared online map of Victoria’s active climate initiatives
  • A local community network for sharing opportunities and success stories
  • A clear picture of our climate community’s strengths and needs
  • New collaboration and project opportunities
  • Plans for future Climate Forums (aiming for twice yearly)

Evening Flow

5:00 – 5:30 PM: Community Mixer

Meet fellow climate leaders and changemakers in a casual, welcoming atmosphere. Refreshments provided.

5:30 – 6:10 PM: Speaker Session 1

Experience three inspiring 10-minute talks from local organizations / individuals:

6:10 – 6:45 PM: Focus Groups #1

We will break out into 4-5 focus groups based around areas of interest to discuss opportunities, gaps, and strengths.

  • Open Circle (Main room, introducing projects and stories in large group)
  • Culture – Deep Ecology – Connection (Discussion around the crisis of separation)
  • Ideating Change (Designing new ways of collaborating)
  • Climate Resilience / Coalition Building Workshop
  • TBC (Emergent facilitation)

6:45 – 7:00 PM: Break

Grab some food & refreshments, get some air, continue discussion

7:00 – 7:30 PM Speaker Session 2

7:35 – 8:10 PM: Focus Groups #2

We will break out into 4 focus groups based around areas of interest to discuss opportunities, gaps, and strengths.

  • Open Circle (main room, introducing projects and story in a large group)
  • Radical Collaboration (Accessing new ways of sharing resources)
  • Mutual Education (Transplanting ideas)
  • Gap Analysis (What is missing in our community?)
  • TBC (Emergent facilitation)

8:15-8:30 PM: Closing Circle + Survey

  • Community calls to action.
  • Asset mapping and future forum planning survey
  • Key lessons learned from evening

– $20 General admission (includes refreshments)

– $10 for members of theDock

– No one turned away for lack of funds – please reach out
