Let’s Make a Miracle! Potluck Celebration

About 15 years ago a small group of people decided to create a community garden commons, where everybody would be welcome to freely harvest the bounty of good veggies, flowers, herbs and fruits. From our first ground-breaking, hundreds of people have contributed to the life of this garden, weeding, watering, planting and eating… lots of eating!
We’d like to bring together our old-timers and newcomers to mark the occasion. Along with the usual food and drink, this will to be a very special celebration. Over the years, we’ve been plagued by vandalism and plant theft. To address the problem we’re going to join hands to encircle the whole area, including the family play-park and garden commons. People will be invited to share their stories, expressions of gratitude or jokes–whatever people’s hearts are called to say. Most significantly, it’ll be a time to speak & hear the good wishes of our whole community to bless & protect this little patch of dirt, the families in the play-park & all those visitors who take solace in the gift of nature.
OK, maybe we can’t actually ‘make’ miracles but coming together, gathering our intentions of love, gratitude and protection…….wouldn’t that be miraculous? Come join us on Thursday, August 22 – 5pm
