Open call for Climate Action & Community Engagement Micro-certificate program

UBC’s Faculty of Forestry & Environmental Stewardship is offering the Climate Action & Community Engagement (CACE) Micro-certificate to help community leaders, professionals, educators & NGOs build practical skills to engage communities and advance local climate action. This online 8-week course provides best practices and powerful visual tools to mobilize community-based programs. As neighbourhoods across Canada face increasing risks from wildfires, extreme heat, flooding, and other climate-related challenges, building community capacity for climate adaptation and mitigation on-the-ground has never been more urgent. Learn from international experts and local ongoing case studies, such as the Oak Bay Coolkit and Victoria Coolkit programs
Eligible B.C. residents may qualify for up to $3,500 in StrongerBC Future Skills Grant funding.
Course registration is due Oct. 2 2026.
