Tuesday Night Jazz at the Church proudly presents Pablo Cardenas and Gershwin in Havana!
Cuban virtuoso pianist Pablo Cardenas performs a special concert celebrating the music of George and Ira Gershwin – with a definitively Cuban twist!
The preeminent American pianist and composer George Gershwin visited Havana during 1932 and was influenced by Cuban rhythms and compositional styles, resulting in, most notably, his Cuban Overture of the same year.
In this special concert, pianist and arranger Pablo Cardenas brings together some of Gershwin‘s most famous, elegant and eloquent melodies for a beautiful evening of George Gershwin reimagined through a Cuban lens.
Featuring longtime musical collaborators and renowned musicians bassist Peter Dowse and drummer Kelby MacNayr with special guest vocalist Lief Bradshaw!!
