CRFAIR’s Youth Food Network is taking on an exciting and timely project to assess the interests and needs of youth in our community so that we can increase youth engagement across the Good Food Network. This project will also assess the barriers to engagement that youth are facing which are preventing them from having a say in the decisions being made in our local food system. The goal of the Youth Spark initiative is to increase collaboration and strategic action towards building a stronger and responsive ecosystem of support for youth between 20-30 in Greater Victoria. We will be creating a comprehensive survey and assessment process, and working with youth researchers in order to hear from a diverse range of youth in our community.
The findings from this process will be used to inform the future of youth engagement in the Good Food Network and with other local organizations.
If you are interested in bolstering youth engagement within your own organization, we encourage you to join us for our stakeholder meeting on Wednesday, January 22nd from 12-1:30 pm. RSVP HERE
