For the Love of Nature
With the laws of nature clearly set in stone the mighty mother sits upon her throne
As she looks to the right and then turns to the left, she is a humble witness to the grandest of thefts
Being stolen out from beneath her feet the trees of the forest crying out in defeat
Only a fraction of the old growth forest remains in place saddening her deeply within the heart space
The forest networks that have long been in place are threatened relentlessly by the corporate race
Mother Nature contemplates the score, in a game that was started by greed and the want of more
An insatiable desire for the golden woods that end up clearing the floor where the trees once stood
The sun shines down upon the scene exposing streaming tears on the face of the queen
All of this devastation of the yellow cedar that continues to feed the commerce meter
For guitar heads and skids of cedar shakes there is an on-going fight with very high stakes
Mother Nature holds her head up high while her guitar head gently weeps on nigh
