The Rainforest Flying Squad is looking for valuable long-term in-camp volunteers to help continue to grow this movement of direct action protection of endangered old-growth forests.
Currently needed are responsible, hard-working, conscientious people, who can get comfy and stay awhile. Ideal candidates are stable individuals who are prepared to engage themselves cooperatively with others in a Covid-safe environment to defend the ancient forests via active logging road blockades on Pacheedaht territory.
As these areas are remote, it is important you have the skills to be out there. Self-sufficiency is a must: proper shelter, food, footwear /gear, the ability to use chainsaw is an asset. For those that may not have their own suitable shelter, there is limited accommodation available in the R.F.S. camp wood-heated buses, by booking only! They are best suited for couples or household/current Covid bubbles.
These peaceful blockades are an essential front-line of protection while the campaign for change in political will is mounting necessary pressure. Let’s show them what many someones’ can achieve!
