Creatively United for the Planet was one of a number of community groups recently involved in PowerPlay, a free, family-friendly festival celebrating all things electric from EVs, E-bikes, solar power, heat pumps and more.

One of the many fabulous finds at the event was a Climate Action to Go Kit (see photo below) available free of charge from the public library for a three week loan period that allows users to learn how and when to plant seeds; make simple, affordable, non-toxic cleaning products; an infra-red heat loss detector which you can aim at your walls, windows and doors to measure how much heat you are losing and where; measure where you might be wasting electricity; pump up your bike tires with an enclosed bike pump and gauge; and much, much more.

Powerplay was a community collaboration with the Town of View Royal, City of Colwood, Capital Regional District, View Royal Climate Coalition, and the South Island Climate Action Network.
