1. Economists agree that carbon pricing is the least expensive and most effective way to reduce the emissions from fossil fuels. Will you commit to making it clear to BC citizens that combating Climate Change is best served by maintaining the ‘Carbon Tax’?
2. Will you bring an end to all Clearcut and Old Growth logging in BC within 60 days of taking office?
3. Will you significantly expand provincial Ecological Reserves, and add migratory corridors for wildlife, to secure their continued survival?
4. Will you enact a BC Endangered Species Act, for terrestrial and marine life, by the end of year 2025?
5. Will you honour the Tripartite Agreement (Canada, British Columbia, First Nations Leadership Council; November 2023) to protect and conserve 30% of British Columbia’s natural ecosystems by year 2030?
6. Will you conduct an independent review of the RCMP C-IRG (Community-Industry Response Group) in BC, which has an expanded mandate to surveil, intimidate, and harass peaceful protests and demonstrations by environmental (logging, pipeline, indigenous) and other groups (homeless, victims of disasters, government mandates), by using undemocratic, para-military tactics?
