Tibetan Bon Buddhist meditation group, Sherab Chamma Ling, led by Geshe Yongdong Losar, is seeking a quiet space in the Comox Valley to rent. We are in need of space that can accommodate up to 50 people and furnishings for regular meditation, meetings and retreats. A space of 800 – 1500 square feet should provide adequate room for chairs, cushions, altar, bookshelves and a small display cabinet. Access to a washroom, kitchen area and wifi are desired features, in addition to having wheelchair accessibility. Price range $1000 – $1500 monthly. Our sacred space of several years was lost due to Covid in 2020, so to continue online teachings and begin in-person gatherings we are starting over!

Geshe Yongdong Losar, or Geshela as he is affectionately referred to, is a scholar and monastic in the Indigenous tradition of the Tibetan Bon religion, which as stated by his Holiness the Dalai Lama is “Tibet’s oldest spiritual tradition.” Geshela is the author of eight books in Tibetan and in 2022 published his first book in English “Calm Breath, Calm Mind.” He has forged a deep bond with Canadian First Nations and was adopted into the Cree Nation. His monastic associations, education and international acclaim are certainly noteworthy, but his integrity, humility and sense of humour are infectious.
