The Victoria Secular Humanist Association invites you and your followers to the following climate crisis related talks at the Cook Street Village Activity Centre in Victoria:-
March 6th Dr. Michael Gilbertson. Human and other species health toxicologist.
March 20th. Guy Dauncey. Author, ecotopian futurist, on his 11th book “The Economics Of Kindness”
(and other matters.)
The talks will be followed by question and discussion periods. More speakers will be presenting later in the spring, including UBC retired professor William Rees, and “The Energy Mix” cofounder and editor Mitchell Beer, plus two from VSHA members, all on different aspects of the climate crisis and related mitigation or adaptation prospects.
The Cook Street Village Activity Centre, at 380 Cook Street, West side just below Southgate. All talks are on Wednesdays, at 7.00 pm. ingress doors are locked at 7.05, so promptness important! Audience capacity 150. Parking is available nearby on side streets. Use side entrance off the small parking lot. Attendance is free, but donations to pay for Hall rental and speaker expenses are gratefully received.
