As a climate champion you are no doubt aware that BC’s logging industry continues to cut down old-growth forests despite government promises to protect them. While new Premier David Eby has made encouraging statements, there is so far scant evidence to contrast his approach from his predecessor’s “talk-and-log” strategy. To help the government keep its commitment, a coalition of environmental activists, supported by the Union of BC Indian Chiefs, is organizing a massive march and super-rally at the BC Legislature on Saturday, February 25th. We hope thousands from all walks of life will join us to show the government that the majority of British Columbians want them to suspend old growth logging now!
There are three ways you can support this important campaign which we call United We Stand for Old-Growth Forests: Join us for the Rally on February 25th. Bring a group and banners and loud voices. If you can’t make it, please pass this information on to some of your like-minded friends who may be able to join in.
After the fight to save forest
So much burned down here
Still sad years later
Focus on rainy areas
Maybe not burn
