Will the Missing Middle Squeeze Victoria’s Trees?

Thanks for the article. It’s well researched and referenced. Grace obviously cares deeply and others do as well. I think she should be a voice at the table. I think if we can build around mature Garry Oaks and Sequoia it would be better. It depends often on if the person really cares about the living species they are removing. We need to raise conscious awareness. Its amazing that when trees are cut down they scream out in the form of electrical signals that other trees pick up on. You wonder how far it travels.
We are fortunate to live here, and others want to come, so we need to figure out a way to accommodate both. Ideally everyone sits at the table and weighs in and is respectful of others opinions.
Missing Middle still has a lot of “outs” for the city to stop projects believe it or not. There is a 2 to 1 policy for tree removal (remove 1 and add 2 new) but agreed the new trees are often small and not of the same quality of contribution to nature as the ones being removed.
