Will we ever learn? The pandemic is giving us mixed signals.

As England’s Prime Minister tells us to forget face masks and social distancing for the good of his voting base, relying on 55% double vaccinated population, the nation is obsessed with Euro football and the end of the virus.

People are congregating in all manner of closed spaces watching the soccer with no thought of transmission. Yet the numbers of new cases are up from 2,000 per day and five deaths a month ago to 28,773 today and 37 deaths.

Will we ever learn?

We did not in Babylon and we are not with climate change.

North America is not the only hard hit zone with superheating. Nordic countries endure heatwave as Lapland records hottest day since 1914 https://www.theguardian.com/environment/2021/jul/06/heatwave-hits-nordic-countries-lapland-temperature-?CMP=Share_iOSApp_Other

Will we ever learn?

Scientists and scholars have been warning us for half a century and we are still wedded to the carbon atom.

I fear that the wet bulb temperature of 36 degrees (when all human bodily functions cease no matter the level of hydration) is already upon us with already three days of this effect in the Middle East: https://www.aaas.org/news/humid-heat-already-exceeding-human-tolerance-some-regions

Will we ever learn?

We must have faith as we can only fight for survival.
