Do you have a story to tell, a message to share, or a creative project that reflects the impact of your community work?
The District of Saanich invites local non-profits, grassroots groups, and community organizations to apply for free exhibition space at Saanich Municipal Hall. Through our Community Gallery Program, we are proud to support creative expression that reflects the voices, values, and lived experiences of our region.
We believe that arts-based engagement helps build stronger, healthier communities. Exhibitions may feature a wide range of artistic practices—including visual art, photography, collaborative projects, and storytelling through images—that highlight your mission, the people you serve, or the change you’re helping to create.
Our gallery spaces include:
- Window Gallery – great for 3D work
- Mezzanine Gallery Wall
- Upper/Reception Gallery Walls
These public spaces are centrally located and open during business hours. Exhibits typically run for 6–8 weeks and are viewed by hundreds of visitors, staff, and community members.
There is no cost to exhibit and applications are accepted on a rolling basis via our online form. Selected exhibitors are supported through an easy onboarding process.
What we’re looking for:
- Art that connects to community, culture, wellness, equity, environment, or social impact
- Creative projects by or in collaboration with community members
- Organizations eager to tell their stories in visual and accessible ways
For more information on gallery specs and accessibility, please see our Installation Guidelines.
Thank you for all the work you do in our community—we hope to help shine a light on it!
