I live on the fringe of the Urban Containment Boundry bordering rural SAANICH. My neighbours and I are currently fighting a subdivision on A 1 zoned land This land has mature Douglas firs and Garry Oaks. The land in question is at 3989 Holland Ave.
SAANICH planning has recommended against development but Council has referred it to a Public Hearing which will be held sometime in January.
If you are interested in helping us to save the trees please read the application on the Cary Area on the SAANICH web site. Trees and other issues are among the reasons we are against this development. Please note this application was turned down by SAANICH Council 10 years ago.
