Forest Defenders Supreme
On the screen of the television unfolds an embattled scene
Of the forest defenders guarding old growth green
Souls of brave stand arms locked together
Stalwartly facing brazen stormy weather
Conviction beats within their chests
The count increases on the number of arrests
These caring folks who band with each other
Committed in solidarity with natures mother
The cause is real and though the road has been long
Within each defender’s spirit resides a victory song
One day that song will be sung out loud lifting away all dark cloud
Until that day comes around, we all stand in spirit with those on the ground
Let the common sense of the common man be what prevails across the land
Without the trees secure in their place there won’t be much hope for the human race
As the time ticks on the ancient trees silently wait by with grace
While the forest defenders stand firm, determination etched on face
True hope remains that the aggressors will step down
Allowing for a harmonious sound to ring out beneath the forest’s crowns
Hold that thought and keep the faith while you heroically stand up to the insanity
It is no small feat for you are fighting for the whole of humanity
