This petition is aimed at preserving more nesting habitat for the threatened Marbled Murrelet within TFL 46 (Fairy Creek). These amazing seabirds nest in old growth forests, and their population is in steep decline. I like to call them flying penguins! The proposed wildlife habitat areas are surrounded by clear cuts, and the remaining old growth forests are slated to be cut down within 15 years. The suitable nesting area set aside is far below Recovery Standards. Please sign the petition and distribute it widely.
