The City of Victoria has a range of advisory committees. We’re currently looking to fill up to 12 positions for a two-year term on our Active Transportation Advisory Committee.
Candidates should have an interest and passion for sustainable transportation including pedestrian mobility and accessibility, cycling mobility or experience with using or supporting public transit. We encourage a diversity of people including youth (14 to 24) and older adults, people who travel with children or have lived experience with mobility needs, or representatives from the business community who rely on active transportation.
Your role will be to provide advice and recommendations to City Council and staff on a range of active transportation initiatives. Due to COVID-19, meetings in 2021 will be held virtually. The Committee meets monthly for two hours; there are no meetings in July, August and December.
The deadline to apply is March 1. Those who have already served two consecutive terms are not eligible to apply but can apply for the next call.
